About the position

CACI is seeking a full-time Senior Finance/Budget Analyst to join our dynamic team, providing a wide range of financial support duties to accomplish critical objectives. This role is essential in managing, creating, and analyzing spend plans, and the successful candidate will be recognized as a subject matter expert on budgetary matters. The position involves working towards achieving targets that significantly impact departmental results and contributing to the development of departmental goals and planning efforts, including budgets and plans. The Senior Finance/Budget Analyst may also manage large projects or processes that extend beyond their immediate job area, influencing others regarding policies, practices, and procedures with limited oversight. In this role, the analyst will be responsible for assisting senior management with decisions, highlighting critical budget, schedule, and performance risk factors. The position requires recognizing the relevance of analytical results and making moderate to significant improvements to processes, systems, or products to enhance job performance. The problems faced in this role are numerous and undefined, requiring detailed information gathering, analysis, and investigation to understand the issues, which typically impact multiple departments or specialties. The analyst will communicate with parties both within and outside their job function, influencing policies and procedures while providing guidance, coaching, and training to other employees. Leading major and complex projects will also be a key responsibility, involving delegation of work and review of work products.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, create, and analyze spend plans.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on budgetary matters.
  • Achieve targets with significant impact on departmental results.
  • Contribute to the development of departmental goals and planning efforts.
  • Manage large projects or processes that span outside of immediate job area.
  • Influence others regarding policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Assist senior management with decisions and highlight critical budget, schedule, and performance risk factors.
  • Make moderate to significant improvements of processes, systems, or products to enhance performance.
  • Gather detailed information and analyze issues to solve undefined problems.
  • Communicate with parties within and outside of own job function.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and training to other employees.
  • Lead major/complex projects involving delegation of work and review of work products.

Requirements

  • TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
  • At least eight years of professional work experience in project/program management, quantitative analysis, financial analysis, or structured approaches to analysis.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in financial management/analysis, quantitative analysis, social sciences, or a closely related field.
  • A Master's Degree in quantitative analysis, financial analysis, social sciences, or a closely related field is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office suite of products.
  • Excellent organizational ability.
  • Excellent analytical skills and sound professional judgment.
