About the position

The Senior Finance Manager and Change Director for US National Accounts at Zurich NA is responsible for directing and implementing accounting operations, particularly focusing on insurance revenues. This role combines traditional financial management with project leadership in finance transformation initiatives, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance while modernizing financial systems and processes.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and develop accounting operations with a focus on insurance revenues.
  • Translate accounting policies into procedures and define standardized financial processes.
  • Oversee accounting operations to ensure timely, complete, and accurate accounting.
  • Participate in month-end and quarter-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Coordinate the entire production process, including activities performed by service centers.
  • Provide guidance on accounting for complex contracts and structures.
  • Proactively seek operational and internal control improvements in the accounting team.
  • Assume the role of Business Lead & Project Director for the End to End Premium lineage project.
  • Manage project scope, delivery, and risk while collaborating with various stakeholders.
  • Oversee people management responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 10 or more years of experience in Accounting, Audit, or Finance.
  • CPA preferred or an equivalent University degree.
  • Project management experience in Finance Transformation.
  • Experience in insurance finance and finance transformation strongly preferred.
  • Technical accounting and/or audit experience.
  • Advanced general ledger transactional experience.
  • Leadership experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong influencing and persuasion skills.
