About the position

The Senior Finance Manager role at Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a strategic position responsible for providing comprehensive financial support to the Financial Services and Telecommunications business unit. This role involves leading a team of Financial Analysts, acting as a key business partner to senior leaders, and delivering financial leadership and strategic guidance to drive outstanding financial results. The successful candidate will engage with high-level executives, including the AWS CEO and CFO, and will focus on evaluating operational processes and business opportunities while supporting planning and forecasting efforts.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Financial Analysts
• Act as the CFO and key business partner to the senior business leaders for Financial Services and Telecommunications
• Provide financial leadership, strategic guidance and support to the business team to deliver outstanding financial results
• Develop relationships, processes, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• 12+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
• 7+ years of finance technology, forecast & budgeting, or other finance-focused competency experience
• Experience with Tableau, Python, SQB, Quicksight, Cognos or other BI packages

Nice-to-haves

• MBA or CPA
• Experience in a leadership position managing finance, accounting and operational processes
