About the position

The Senior Finance Manager for O365 & AI Engineering will play a crucial role within the Margin Strategy and Investment Optimization (MSIO) organization, focusing on driving Cloud & AI capacity, margin excellence, and resource allocation. This position involves partnering with engineering leaders to ensure that over $20 billion in resources are aligned with strategic engineering priorities. The role requires a strong financial acumen, the ability to navigate complexity, and the capability to influence decision-making at high levels within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Drive process excellence while partnering across Engineering to continuously assess portfolio health by reviewing key drivers to identify opportunities, risks, and trade-offs.
  • Build a cohesive story by incorporating business insight through resource allocation and workforce planning, understanding the connection with overall financial performance.
  • Provide strategic leadership to Engineering leaders to drive operating leverage through resource allocation and investment optimization.
  • Analyze results to understand performance against plan/forecast and monitor trends and key levers to support various rhythms of the business and finance.
  • Embody the company's culture and values.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 4+ years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field OR Master's Degree in the same fields AND 2+ years of experience OR equivalent experience.
  • 1+ year experience in multinational with multi-product/multi-segment finance role.
  • 1+ year work experience in a matrix-based organization.
  • 1+ year work experience in the technology or software industry.
  • Financial analysis experience in a high-tech company, with an understanding of the technology industry, particularly in commercial cloud services, business model, and economics.
  • Driven self-starter capable of effectively prioritizing and operating with a high degree of ambiguity in a fast-paced and changing environment.
  • Interpersonal and cross-group collaboration skills.
  • Ability to partner, build trust, and communicate with and influence executives.
  • Ability to make the complex simple and influence through effective storytelling.
  • Ability to influence and impact without authority, operate in ambiguity, solve difficult problems, and prioritize effectively.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 8+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance work experience OR Master's Degree in the same fields AND 6+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance work experience OR equivalent experience.
