About the position

The Senior Finance Manager, Treasury Debt Capital Markets plays a critical role in AbbVie's Treasury organization, focusing on debt issuance, administration, and strategic hedging. This position involves high-level exposure and requires routine presentations to senior corporate officers, including the Vice President and Corporate Treasurer. The role encompasses both tactical and strategic leadership in financial activities, ensuring effective management of corporate debt and risk analysis.

Responsibilities

• Weekly reporting of hedge positions including analysis of current interest rate and foreign exchange markets.
• Produce Variance at Risk report on a quarterly basis to inform Treasury on financial market risks.
• Support corporate debt issuances including Bonds, Term Loans, and Revolving Lines of Credit.
• Assist the Director of Corporate Finance with cash flow hedges, net investment hedges, interest rate swaps, and AbbVie share repurchases.
• Create market impact reports after major market movements for the Treasurer and CFO.
• Annual reporting of Investment Bank Profitability report.
• Analyze corporate exchange variances against Plan and other benchmarks.
• Oversee completion of quarterly 10-Q / 10-K packages highlighting cash, debt, and hedging impacts in financial statements.
• Manage month-end and quarter-end reporting requirements and certifications related to cash and debt activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
• CPA is preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in progressive finance or accounting roles.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present to Corporate Officers.
• Familiarity with SAP, HFM, and BPC is preferred.
• Strong Excel and modeling skills.
