About the position

The Senior Financial Accountant - Cloud Partnerships at Blueprint is responsible for managing accounting activities and supporting cloud-based business operations. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure financial accuracy and compliance while managing complex partner deals. The ideal candidate will enhance financial reporting processes and contribute to high-impact projects, making it a key position for detail-oriented financial experts who thrive in collaborative environments.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, analyze, and ensure the accuracy of financial documents, such as reports, journal entries, and billing statements.
  • Review accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to verify accuracy, completeness, and adherence to reporting standards and procedures.
  • Document end-to-end processes at both a high level and in detail for cross-functional use, suitable for both execution teams and executive presentations.
  • Conduct operational assessments to identify accounting needs, recommending and developing solutions to various business and financial challenges.
  • Collect and analyze data to identify potential risks, including deficiencies in controls, inefficiencies, excessive spending, fraud, or non-compliance with regulations and policies.
  • Partner closely with Finance, Accounting, Operations, Business Development, Engineering, Compliance, and other teams to foster collaboration and drive project success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related financial discipline is required; an advanced degree is preferred.
  • 8-10 years of experience in financial and/or accounting roles, ideally within large corporate settings. Strong foundation in financial accounting and experience in the tech industry is preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (minimum of 8 years), including power pivots, pivot tables, and VLOOKUP functions.
  • Familiarity with Power BI is an advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Experience documenting financial processes with flowcharts, narratives, or desktop procedures.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of financial processes within large organizations, ideally in the technology sector.
  • Experience with revenue accounting and familiarity with documenting financial processes in formats suitable for operational or executive use.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on clarity and accuracy.
  • Self-starter mentality, able to work independently, problem-solve effectively, and operate within an evolving, undefined environment ("white space").
