About the position

The Senior Financial Analyst position within the Apartments division at Irvine Company focuses on financial planning and analysis, specifically supporting capital expenditures. This role involves collaboration with various teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and analysis, contributing to the overall financial strategy of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Support the development of quarterly forecast, annual budget, and long-term plan for Apartments division capital expenditures
• Prepare recurring and ad-hoc consolidated capital spend/project-level reporting and analyses
• Cross-functional collaboration with project teams to maintain accuracy of project financials and attributes
• Support the administration of the Portfolio and Project Management (PPM) system on the SAP platform and associated BI reporting data model, including maintaining data integrity and collaborating on and implementing system enhancements
• Interpret and manipulate large datasets from multiple data sources in order to build financial models and reporting packages

Requirements

• BA or BS in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field; MBA a plus
• Minimum two years of experience in a real estate finance or analytical role
• Experience with financial statement analysis
• Capital planning and real estate experience a plus
• Critical thinker; detail-oriented; self-motivated; ability to multi-task and prioritize
• Ability to effectively communicate in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
• Expert in Microsoft Excel, including strong modeling capability

Nice-to-haves

• Google Sheets, Tableau, Webi and SAP experience a plus
