About the position

The Senior Financial Analyst will join the AWS Partner Organization (APO) Finance team, providing financial support to business leaders and collaborating with various teams to enhance strategic investments frameworks. This role involves influencing business decisions through data-driven insights, improving internal controls, and fostering a positive team culture.

Responsibilities

• Provide financial support to business leaders in the AWS Partner Organization.
• Collaborate with business development, FP&A, and BI teams.
• Contribute to the Strategic Partner Collaboration & Governance (SPCG) team.
• Define models, tools, and mechanisms to address business opportunities.
• Drive automation and improve internal controls within the Partner Organization.
• Analyze business drivers and influence decisions using data-driven insights.
• Establish best practices and promote a positive team culture.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in tax, finance, or a related analytical field.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field, or a Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of quantitative role experience.

Nice-to-haves

• 4+ years of experience in continuous improvement projects to enhance controllership.
• MBA or CPA certification.
• Knowledge of Tableau.
• Experience with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos).
• Experience with financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).
• 4+ years of experience applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses.
• 4+ years of experience creating process improvements through automation and analysis.
• 4+ years of experience identifying and executing opportunities to improve finance or business tools and processes.
• Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
• Advanced SQL skills for data mining and business intelligence.
• Experience as a lean sensei or as a Quality Assurance Engineer.
