The position involves gathering, compiling, organizing, and documenting relevant financial information to prepare detailed reports and presentations for review by all levels of management. The role requires analyzing, interpreting, and reporting financial and statistical data to assist Managers, Directors, and Senior Management in the review and management of operations. Additionally, the position provides financial and operational support to all levels of management, including department managers and service line directors, as directed. Collaboration with team members in the administration of the budgeting system is essential, ensuring daily, weekly, and monthly system maintenance, resolving errors, and optimizing performance and usability. Training and supporting system users, configuring new users, and conducting workshops are also key responsibilities. The role includes assisting in the creation of the annual budget, maintaining the budget model, and ensuring data integrity. Long-term strategic planning assistance to improve operational efficiency is also part of the job. Frequent communication with supervisors and staff regarding work priorities and project progress is expected, along with providing cross-training to team members and serving as a mentor. Staying informed on the latest developments in the healthcare field through study and attendance at seminars is necessary. The position may also involve performing other work-related duties and assisting with special projects as required or assigned. Responsibilities

  • Gather, compile, organize and document relevant financial information and prepare detailed reports and presentations for review by all levels of management.
  • Analyze, interpret and report financial and statistical data to assist Managers/Directors/Senior Management in the review and management of operations.
  • Provide financial and operational support to all levels of management including department managers, service line directors, and senior management as directed.
  • Collaborate with other team members in the administration of the budgeting system. Ensure daily, weekly, monthly system maintenance. Resolve errors, review system continuously to optimize performance and usability.
  • Train and support system users, configure new system users, conduct regular workshops and individual training sessions for users as requested.
  • Assist in the creation of the annual budget, maintains budget model in the budgeting system, ensure data integrity.
  • Provide assistance with long term strategic planning to improve operational improvement.
  • Communicate frequently with supervisor and other staff concerning work priorities and progress of projects.
  • Provide cross-training to other team members and assist each other with hospital responsibilities in the event of absences.
  • Serve as a mentor to other team members.
  • Keep informed on the latest developments in the healthcare field through study, reading, and attendance at appropriate seminars.
  • Perform other work related duties and assist with special projects as required or assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor in Business Administration, Accounting, Management Information Systems or Health Administration; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • Five to seven years of related experience, preferably in an acute care hospital/healthcare organization required.
  • Knowledge of reporting systems and database concepts; ability to learn and master new information systems.
  • MS Excel and relational database experience required.
  • Microsoft Reporting Services and other reporting platform experience preferred.
  • Basic analytical skills to comprehend and reconcile data.
  • Demonstrated written and oral communication as well as interpersonal skills to conduct training classes and communicate with multiple levels of the organization.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize multiple demands.
  • Ability to quickly absorb new ideas and concepts.
  • Ability to present design concepts and system functions in a logical and concise manner.
  • Ability to work as part of a project team.
