About the position

The Senior Financial Analyst in Corporate FP&A at Danaher Corporation serves as a finance business partner across the G&A organization, supporting various functions such as Science and Technology, HR, Legal, IT, DBS, and Tax. This role involves managing forecasting, budgeting, and strategic review processes, while also analyzing enterprise-wide spending to provide insights that drive business decisions. The position is integral to the Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis team, located in Washington DC, and emphasizes the use of advanced analytical tools, including artificial intelligence and machine learning, to transform financial datasets.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a finance partner to G&A functional leaders and build effective relationships with OpCo IT and Finance teams.
  • Support the forecasting, budgeting, and strategic review processes for corporate functional leadership.
  • Manage accurate datasets and/or dashboards to identify trends and provide insights that can help drive business decisions.
  • Lead the development of analyses focused on historical spend and headcount to support the unique needs of each G&A function.
  • Work closely with G&A functional leaders on business requirements to build a consistent ontology framework/reporting structure in collaboration with IT teams.
  • Utilize artificial intelligence and machine learning tools to analyze large and complex financial datasets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance or Accounting with CPA preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years in areas of increasing responsibility in a finance function.
  • Proficient in reporting and dashboarding tools and techniques.
  • Excellent executive presence, communication, and relationship building skills.
  • Multi-tasking capabilities; able to handle the pressure of meeting multiple, high-priority deadlines.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior experience and proficiency with BI and Analytics tools like Palantir, SQL, and Power BI.
  • Self-starter and proven team player capable of prioritizing work and problems simultaneously.
  • Comfortable working in a high-energy, quickly changing, and demanding environment.
