About the position

The Senior Finance Analyst, Deposits & Marketing is responsible for reviewing and analyzing financial data, including forecasts, plans, and variances. This role provides insights, guidance, and recommendations to senior leadership, while also creating financial models and reports to support marketing products. The analyst will collaborate with various business units and accounting teams to ensure accurate financial analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial forecasts and plans, and analyze variances.
  • Provide complex financial analysis and recommendations to assigned business units, guiding them through monthly P&L reviews.
  • Create complex financial models in collaboration with business partners.
  • Partner with Accounting in the month-end financial close process.
  • Forecast scenarios and offer recommendations on balance sheet positioning.
  • Participate in ALCO, Credit Risk Committee, and Pricing Committee to capture relevant business information for forecasting.
  • Analyze ad hoc large data sets and provide insights to leadership.
  • Lead the regular maintenance/upgrades of financial planning & analysis systems including Oracle EPBCS and PROFITstar.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial and regulatory reports as required.
  • Mentor peer Financial Analysts on a day-to-day basis.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years' experience in financial analysis and reporting with a mid-to-large size organization.
  • Experience in the financial services industry is preferred.
  • Broad knowledge of GAAP.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate as a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to organize, analyze, and interpret financial data to explain complex concepts to leadership.
  • Ability to create and deliver engaging presentations tailored to leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish credibility and rapport with internal stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with Oracle EPBCS, PROFITstar, or other projection/ALM software is preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
