About the position

As a Senior Financial Analyst - National Accounts at ADP, you will play a pivotal role in supporting business leaders by providing strategic and financial insights that are essential for achieving financial and business goals. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver analytical support for key requirements, which includes the creation of complex financial models, as well as conducting research and analyses of trends, leading indicators, and business statistics. You will leverage both internal and external data to contribute to business case development, ensuring that you become the subject matter expert for your business unit. On a typical day, you will engage in business partnering with your unit partners in National Accounts - Benefits & Time, helping them identify and manage key performance indicators (KPIs). You will provide insights around expense metrics, drivers, actual performance, current outlook, and long-term projections. Your role will also involve performing financial analyses related to operating expenses, business plans, and other metrics used for reporting and decision support. Continuous learning will be a part of your routine as you enhance your knowledge of metrics specific to your business unit while maintaining a common analytical framework around ADP expenses. In addition to these responsibilities, you will be tasked with building and enhancing financial models to ensure that processes are continually evolving. This may involve maintaining existing models or completely rebuilding those that no longer yield reasonable outputs. You will also support Finance leadership in developing strategies and initiatives aimed at driving growth and margin improvements, assisting in the development of business cases and recommendations focused on financial strategies that enhance business growth and market presence.

Responsibilities

  • Support business leaders by providing strategic and financial insights.
  • Provide analytical support for key requirements and assist in creating complex financial models.
  • Conduct research and analyses of trends, leading indicators, and business statistics.
  • Partner with business unit partners to identify and manage KPIs.
  • Perform financial analyses related to operating expenses, business plans, and other metrics.
  • Enhance knowledge of metrics specific to the business unit and maintain a common analytical framework.
  • Build and enhance financial models to evolve processes.
  • Support Finance leadership in developing strategies and initiatives for growth and margin improvements.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in relevant FP&A and Excel financial modeling skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent.
  • Advanced Excel experience, including VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, and Index Match.
  • Experience with Hyperion, Oracle, or similar tools is preferred.
  • Exceptional communication skills and experience presenting to senior leadership.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Ability to manage complex projects and handle competing priorities.
  • Critical thinking skills to work within guidelines and adapt to changing trends.
  • Self-starter with a high degree of intellectual curiosity and a passion for continuous improvement.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with financial modeling tools and software beyond Excel.
