About the position

Hightower is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team. This role is pivotal in utilizing financial and operational data to support strategic development, drive growth initiatives, and identify efficiencies within the organization. The FP&A team collaborates across various departments to facilitate informed decision-making and effective strategy execution. As a Senior Analyst, you will leverage your financial and analytical skills to enhance processes that enable the organization to scale effectively in alignment with top-line growth objectives. In this position, you will be responsible for managing key components of the financial close, reporting, forecasting, and the annual strategic planning processes. You will support decision-making across the organization by developing financial models and providing analytical insights. Your role will also involve critically assessing current processes, posing challenging questions, and proposing alternative solutions to enhance operational effectiveness. Additionally, you will conduct ad hoc analyses and special projects for senior management, analyze the company's financial performance to pinpoint growth drivers, and identify opportunities for increased operational efficiency. You will also take ownership of presentation materials for investors, the Board of Directors, and senior management, ensuring that all financial data is accurately represented and effectively communicated.

Responsibilities

  • Manage important elements of the financial close, reporting, forecasting, and annual strategic planning processes.
  • Support decision-making across the organization by building financial models and providing a financial & analytical perspective.
  • Provide a fresh perspective on current processes and a willingness to ask challenging questions and suggest alternative solutions.
  • Complete ad hoc analyses and special projects for senior management.
  • Analyze the financial performance of the company to identify main reasons for growth or opportunities for increased operational effectiveness.
  • Ownership of presentation materials for investors, Board of Directors, and senior management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or equivalent experience.
  • Solid baseline of financial concepts, financial modeling capabilities, and an understanding of core financial statements.
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with other data processing/visualization tools a plus (Tableau, Alteryx, etc.).
