This position provides financial support and analytics to Codman Specialty Surgical (CSS) division and reports into the FP&A manager, CSS. Analysis includes but are not limited to revenue and expense results and forecasts - including the annual budget and strategic plans, and ongoing revenue trends, pricing and volume analysis. Additionally, the senior analyst will play a significant role in analyzing and reporting of monthly and quarterly results. Other detailed analysis will be required on an ad hoc basis.

Responsibilities

  • Support financial reporting with process improvement mindset such as report automation
  • Perform actual vs forecast variance analysis; Business partnering with department leads in managing spend within budget
  • Provide consolidation support to the annual budget, the long-term strategic business plan, and the periodic forecasting/LE processes
  • Participation in the development and preparation of weekly, monthly, and quarterly business financial review packages for senior management review
  • Analyze price, mix and volume impact to monthly revenue results
  • Assisting with the overall achievement of the division’s and company’s financial targets
  • Collaborate with the corporate accounting team to support the monthly close process (including GTN reporting)
  • Prepare ad hoc analyses as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Finance and/or accounting roles, preferably in FP&A
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines; Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong interpersonal communication; Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Nice-to-haves

  • CPA is a plus, but not required
  • Experience with multidimensional databases such as Hyperion, BPC or OneStream is a plus
  • Experience with Power BI, COGNOS, and Oracle is a plus
