About the position

The Senior Financial Analyst in FP&A plays a crucial role in supporting the company's forecasting and budgeting processes. This position involves compiling, entering, and analyzing financial data, preparing financial statements, and providing insights into financial trends. The analyst collaborates closely with various business units to conduct variance analysis and update forecasts for revenue, expenses, capital, and headcount. Additionally, the role includes supporting the Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis with ad-hoc projects, financial modeling, and preparing presentation materials, particularly for quarterly earnings and the annual budget process.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the monthly forecasting process for specific business units, including methodology, schedule & communication.
  • Analyze and update Revenue, Expense and Capital forecasting methodology and recommend best practices.
  • Review and analyze monthly results compared to forecast, providing insight into driving factors.
  • Provide forecast data and communicate with key stakeholders as necessary.
  • Update and maintain complex models for revenue and expense forecasting.
  • Develop forecasting models for new projects or areas of focus.
  • Manage budget iterations and work with key stakeholders to adjust projections, as needed.
  • Provide strategic support to business unit leaders to enable decision making, including communication and discussion on financial performance through ad hoc analysis and accurate forecasts/budgets.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and efficiency.
  • Assist with special projects as needed.

Requirements

  • 4 or more years of applicable work experience in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • Bachelor's degree is required.
  • Solid understanding of financial statements, concepts, and modeling with the ability to grasp business strategies, understand and forecast revenue, expenses, capital, and headcount.
  • Strong analytical capabilities to identify trends and recommend actions.
  • Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment and willingness to shift priorities and excel in time management.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to convey details to upper management in a clear and concise manner.

Nice-to-haves

  • 3 years of experience in Finance, Accounting, or related field is required; 5 years is preferred.
  • Master's degree is preferred.
