About the position

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support the Global Services business. This role involves working closely with business and finance leaders to develop strategies, financial models, and analytical insights, while establishing efficient processes. The successful candidate will influence senior business leaders' decisions through effective communication and financial analysis in a global, results-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Drive alignment across Senior leadership and various finance groups on GS investments
• Provide strategic support to key business initiatives and investment
• Play a critical role in cost management, controllership, business case development, decision-making, and metrics development
• Identify financial improvements and deep dive on investments to scale for future growth and improve customer experience
• Develop new performance metrics and business processes to drive accountability and controllership

Requirements

• 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of Tableau
• Highly analytical, detail oriented with strong business sense
• Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos)
• Experience with financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
• Experience applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses
