About the position

The Senior Financial Analyst at Amazon Web Services (AWS) will play a crucial role in supporting the Global Services business by developing business strategies, financial models, and analytical insights. This position requires a strategic and analytical finance leader who can influence senior business leaders and drive alignment across various finance groups. The role focuses on cost management, business case development, and the establishment of processes to enhance efficiency and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Drive alignment across Senior leadership and various finance groups on GS investments
• Provide strategic support to key business initiatives and investment
• Play a critical role in cost management, controllership, business case development, decision-making, and metrics development
• Identify financial improvements and deep dive on investments to scale for future growth
• Develop new performance metrics and business processes to drive accountability and controllership

Requirements

• 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of Tableau
• Highly analytical and detail-oriented with strong business sense
• Experience with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos)
• Experience with financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
• Experience applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses
