The Supply Chain Function is responsible for balancing supply and demand across the organization; ensuring we have the optimized amount of inventory to meet worldwide demand for Medtronic's vast array of businesses and products. This position reports to the Supply Chain FP&A Sr. Manager and will partner with multiple stakeholders to provide timely analysis, insightful guidance, and financial leadership to the Supply Chain teams. This role requires cross-functional partnership with various supply chain, finance, and regional teams to implement best practices, build capabilities and drive improvement across the supply chain Functional Expense cycle, including expense and headcount management/forecasting/reporting. The focus of the Global Supply Chain FP&A team is on processes surrounding expense, headcount, and project management, systems, forecasting, analysis, and reporting. Our responsibilities are to drive standardization and simplification across global Supply Chain; produce and consolidate the numbers; and simplify processes to ensure efficiency and sustainability. This role will provide financial visibility to leadership to influence decision making and drive business results. In this role, you will perform financial planning and analysis (FP&A) activities to support quarterly forecasts and annual planning (AOP) for Overhead Functional expense and headcount. You will own the headquarters Global Supply Chain cost centers process, completing monthly/quarterly/annual financial reporting, analyzing results, identifying issues, and explaining trends and variances to plan and forecast; providing insights to business partners and other stakeholders that helps draw connections between accounts to drive action and business results. You will proactively identify areas of risks and opportunities and work closely with leaders to forecast, analyze, communicate, and understand business drivers/results. Additionally, you will consult with various cross-functional team members and be a thought partner on complex business issues and analytical opportunities across Supply Chain / GO&SC FP&A. Partnering with the Data Analytics and Insights team on Cost Center Reporting development and/or optimization will also be part of your responsibilities, including the rollout of dashboard training to GSC and being an expert/though leader on dashboards. You will own and coordinate execution of annual GSC's EBIT Neutral process in conjunction with Corporate guidance during Annual Operating Plan, bringing a mindset of continuous improvement to all aspects of the job, including recurring processes and stand-alone projects.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Finance or Accounting required.
  • Minimum of 4 years of finance experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years finance experience.
