About the position

The Sr Financial Analyst III position at Edward Jones involves working within the Revenue Reporting, Planning and Analysis team, which is responsible for the firm's revenue accounting, management reporting, and revenue planning. The role focuses on delivering financial integrity through the monthly close cycle, financial reporting, and analysis, while partnering across the firm to identify revenue trends that influence business decisions. The successful candidate will engage in advanced financial analysis, forecasting, and complex financial modeling, while also developing relationships with senior leaders and contributing to strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct advanced financial analysis, forecasting, and complex financial modeling of various revenue streams and products.
  • Inform and educate business areas about the financial impact of decisions and recommend optimal solutions.
  • Manage and optimize data; extract, cleanse, and transform data to support reporting and analyses.
  • Develop divisional/functional and Firm-level measurements to create awareness of and accountability for results.
  • Prepare customized executive-level management financial reports and review reporting prepared by other associates.
  • Present financial reports and written analysis to senior Firm leaders, including frequent verbal presentations.
  • Proactively identify efficiency, data integrity, and control improvements opportunities and propose solutions.
  • Develop and manage business relationships with senior leaders and executive-level management across the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (or relevant work experience) is required.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting, reporting, and financial planning with increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Advanced financial analysis, forecasting, and complex financial modeling skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and deliver change in support of a strategic vision.
  • Intermediate to advanced understanding of accounting processes and financial statements.
  • Ability to influence associates and leadership up to the Executive Management level.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, including advanced features.

Nice-to-haves

  • Proficiency in PeopleSoft Financials, Oracle, OneStream, or other financial planning tools.
  • Experience with SQL, Tableau, Power BI, or other data visualization tools.
  • In-depth knowledge of the brokerage industry or relevant licensing (SIE or Series 7).
  • Advanced Degree (MBA / MSF) or comparable certifications (CFA, CPA).
