About the position

The Senior Financial Analyst III in Revenue Reporting, Planning and Analysis at Edward Jones is responsible for ensuring the financial integrity of the firm's revenue accounting and management reporting. This role involves advanced financial analysis, forecasting, and modeling to support strategic business decisions and enhance financial stewardship across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct advanced financial analysis, forecasting, and complex financial modeling of various revenue streams and products.
  • Inform and educate business areas about the financial impact of decisions and recommend optimal solutions to influence strategic direction.
  • Manage and optimize data; extract, cleanse, and transform data to support reporting and analyses while validating logic and outputs.
  • Develop divisional/functional and firm-level measurements to create awareness and accountability for results.
  • Prepare customized executive-level management financial reports and review reporting prepared by other associates.
  • Present financial reports and written analysis to senior firm leaders, including frequent verbal presentations of financial insights.
  • Proactively identify efficiency, data integrity, and control improvement opportunities and drive implementation of solutions.
  • Develop and manage business relationships with senior leaders and executive management across the organization.
  • Participate in and lead cross-functional teams responsible for implementing projects in support of business objectives.
  • Take constructive action with little or no direction from others.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (or relevant work experience) is required.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience with increasing levels of responsibility in accounting, reporting, and financial planning.
  • Advanced financial analysis, forecasting, and complex financial modeling skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and deliver change in support of a strategic vision.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute on multiple tasks/projects independently.
  • Intermediate to advanced understanding of accounting processes and financial statements.
  • Ability to influence associates and leadership up to the Executive Management level.
  • Ability to summarize complex financial information and communicate clearly to executive-level leadership.
  • Proven ability to drive change initiatives and exercise influence.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Proficiency using PeopleSoft Financials, Oracle (by PeopleSoft), OneStream, or another financial planning tool.
  • Experience with SQL, Tableau.
