About the position

The Senior Financial Analyst for Medical Groups at Holy Cross Hospital is responsible for managing provider compensation, ensuring compliance with contractual terms and organizational policies. This role involves financial analysis of the medical group's performance, including reimbursement and expense management, while collaborating with hospital leadership and physicians. The position offers a hybrid work option and requires a strong background in finance and healthcare administration.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and support administration of various provider compensation models, ensuring compliance with Holy Cross Health policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Develop, maintain, and update physician compensation models, including regular auditing and reconciliation.
  • Guide future development and enhancements to compensation models.
  • Perform regular analysis of complex compensation calculations including wRVU incentive models, clinical quality compensation, and value-based metrics.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and consult with physicians and leadership on compensation policies and practices.
  • Utilize EHR data and related databases for reporting and calculating wRVUs for provider compensation.
  • Provide monthly physician compensation analysis and evaluate current and future compensation models for Medical Group Administration.
  • Conduct robust financial analysis on physicians' practices and make data-driven recommendations to senior leadership on contract renewals.
  • Act as the main point of contact for physicians regarding compensation issues and concerns.
  • Research and resolve complex compensation issues using critical thinking and investigative skills.
  • Work with Medical Group Administration to budget provider compensation appropriately among variable components.
  • Regularly interpret and administer compensation based on physician employment agreements.
  • Review changes in benchmark data for impact on current provider compensation plans and recommend changes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in accounting, finance, or business administration.
  • Master's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or another related field preferred.
  • Five (5) years minimum experience in a healthcare setting, with a background in accounting, finance, or provider compensation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access.
