About the position

The Senior Financial Analyst role at Circana is a pivotal position that supports the Operations business by partnering with senior operations leaders to forecast, budget, report, and analyze financial data. This role is designed for a finance analyst who is passionate about driving growth and providing insightful financial analysis to support decision-making processes. The analyst will be responsible for preparing comprehensive reporting packages, analyses, and narratives that highlight variance drivers and recommend actionable insights to business partners and senior management. In addition to reporting, the Senior Financial Analyst will maximize the use of financial systems, specifically Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Adaptive, to enhance revenue pipeline reviews, forecasts, and ensure booking accuracy. The role also involves driving budgeting and forecasting support, enabling accurate visibility of financial tracking, and assisting vertical leaders with inquiries related to forecasts, revenue, billing, and contracts. Furthermore, the analyst will play a crucial role in the implementation and adoption of a new CRM system, Microsoft Dynamics 365, which includes testing, requirements development, and analysis to ensure a smooth transition and effective utilization of the system. Responsibilities

  • Prepare reporting packages, analyses, and narratives to business partners and senior management with emphasis on identifying variance drivers and recommending actions.
  • Maximize use of financial systems (Microsoft Dynamics CRM + Adaptive) to drive growth (revenue pipeline review & forecast, recurring revenue streaming, and booking accuracy).
  • Drive budgeting & forecasting support (enable accurate visibility of how we are tracking).
  • Assist vertical leaders and their teams with forecast, revenue, billing, and contract inquiries as needed.
  • Drive the implementation and adoption of new CRM (Microsoft Dynamics 365) with testing, requirements development, reviews, and analysis.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Commercial Finance, FP&A, Sales Operations and/or Consulting
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related business majors
  • CRM experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred, Implementation experience a plus
  • Experience in the Tech/Software industry (with recurring revenues) a plus
  • Workday Adaptive software experience a plus
  • High proficiency in Excel required
  • Must be a self-starter with the intellectual curiosity to be a problem solver
  • Displays a strong ability to build models and develop outputs for stakeholder-friendly consumption
  • Has a proven track record of extracting, manipulating, and delivering insights from large data sets
  • Manages ambiguity, proactively ideating solutions to key business problems
  • Is able to influence peers and leaders, presenting financial concepts to a non-financial audience.
