About the position

Revelyst, the future standalone Outdoor Products company at Vista Outdoor, is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst for SG&A to join our team in Irvine, CA. This role is pivotal in managing and analyzing Selling, General & Administrative (SG&A) costs across our Adventure Sports brands, which include Fox Racing, Bell, Giro, and Camelbak. As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for budgeting, tracking, and forecasting SG&A expenses, providing essential insights that will drive key business decisions aimed at enhancing profitability. In this position, you will collaborate closely with budget owners on a monthly basis to ensure accurate forecasts are maintained. You will keep leadership informed about actual spending versus budgeted amounts, supporting functional leaders in the development of the 3-year Long Range Plan and the annual budgeting cycle. Your analytical skills will be crucial as you report on spending performance, identify variances, and provide insights that can help improve EBITA performance. Additionally, you will assist in evolving our SG&A reporting processes to enhance communication of results to both brand and corporate leadership teams. Your role will also involve identifying risks and opportunities that can lead to profit growth and cost efficiencies, ensuring that you work closely with budget owners throughout the fiscal year to drive informed decisions. This position reports directly to the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis and offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the financial health of a dynamic and innovative company in the outdoor products industry.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with budget owners each month to update accurate monthly forecasts.
• Keep leadership informed on operating expense spend actuals and forecast versus budget.
• Support the functional leaders for the 3-year Long Range Plan and for the annual budgeting cycle.
• Report on spend performance versus plan and provide insights into variances.
• Assist in evolving our SG&A reporting to bring insights into performance and improve communication of results to the brand and corporate leadership teams.
• Identify risks and opportunities to help improve EBITA performance.
• Work closely with budget owners throughout the fiscal year to help drive decisions that lead to profit growth and cost efficiencies.
• Support the regional and functional leaders with reporting and insights from past performance to inform spend decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
• 3 years of experience as a financial analyst.
• Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• SAP experience & proficiency is preferred.
• Strong financial modeling skills.
• CPA and/or MBA preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to present financial information in a clear, precise manner.
• Excellent time management, analytical and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and work independently within deadlines.
• Strong decision-making skills.
• Strong project management skills.
• Careful attention to detail and accuracy.
