About the position

The Financial Analyst role at the company is a pivotal position within the Financial Planning and Analysis team, serving as a core support function to the leadership team across all business functions. This role requires an individual with a strong analytical mindset and an insatiable curiosity, often referred to as the '5 Why' mentality, to deeply understand the business dynamics that influence and impact the company's performance. The successful candidate will be skilled in synthesizing actionable insights from large datasets, utilizing advanced data mining and analytics tools such as Power BI, SAP Analytics Cloud, Tableau, and SAS. The ability to navigate ambiguity and develop cohesive analyses from complex data sets is essential, as is a keen awareness of confirmation bias and the ability to work efficiently under pressure. In this role, the Financial Analyst will lead the monthly sales reporting process, which includes building models for sales reporting, conducting price/volume/mix analysis, and performing variance analysis with comprehensive commentary on actual results compared to budget, prior year, and forecasts. The analyst will utilize extensive financial datasets to create predictive models and drive data analysis to identify root causes of performance issues. Additionally, the role involves preparing key financial and operational analyses and reports, automating data collection processes, and supporting the monthly reporting package, which includes the Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Statement of Cash Flows. The Financial Analyst will also monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) across various business facets, collaborate with leadership to evaluate initiatives aimed at improving business performance, and drive continuous process improvements in reporting, forecasting, and budgeting activities. This includes leveraging technology and analytical tools, such as AI and machine learning, to enhance operational efficiency. The analyst will work closely with the Director of FP&A, CFO, CCO, and other leadership members to provide insights that improve business performance and operational awareness. Furthermore, the role requires proactive identification of opportunities for enhancements within the finance and accounting functions and participation in special projects as needed. Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards and requirements is also a critical aspect of this position.
