About the position

Raymond James is seeking a well-rounded Senior Financial Analyst to join the Technology Finance Business Management team. This role involves analyzing financial data, creating models for decision-making, and assisting with P&L and project budget development within the IT organization. The analyst will apply specialized knowledge to monitor and evaluate processes and data, making informed recommendations based on their analysis.

Responsibilities

• Oversees administrative deliverables for assigned Technology Operational team(s) or area.
• Manages the annual budget process and coordinates with IT Finance.
• Produces and presents monthly expense and staffing review packages to leadership.
• Partners with the resource management team for staffing requests and time tracking.
• Assumes leadership role in purchasing requests and vendor management.
• Works closely with Project Management on project charter creation and review.
• Partners with senior leaders to create and manage specific business metrics.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related degree.
• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in financial analysis or a related field.
• Knowledge of analysis, data, and metrics.
• Familiarity with accounting software packages and financial products.
• Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Experience with time tracking systems, preferably Service Now.
• Skill in preparing financial management reports and analyzing financial information.

Nice-to-haves

• Financial services industry experience is a big plus.
