The Senior Financial Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting the firm's growth and enhancing its financial analysis capabilities. As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for calculating losses from publicly traded investments in accordance with securities laws accounting methodologies. You will analyze corporate insider transactions to assess the profits realized from share sales and perform comparative analyses to identify potential arguments for legal cases. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with the firm's attorneys to provide quantitative insights that support litigation efforts. This role is pivotal in ensuring that the firm maintains its reputation for excellence in legal representation and client service.

Responsibilities

  • Calculate losses from publicly traded investments under the securities laws accounting methodologies
  • Analyze corporate insider transactions to determine the profit they realized from selling shares
  • Perform comparative analyses to determine potential arguments for legal cases
  • Work with the firm's attorneys regarding quantitative aspects of litigation

Requirements

  • 5+ years of related experience in an FP&A role; ideal industries include: Law Firm, Financial Services / Investment Management firms
  • Bachelors in Accounting/Finance; MBA is a major plus
  • High level of advanced Excel and other reporting software; Bloomberg Terminal is a plus
  • Experience managing and training a team
