About the position

The Senior Financial Analyst role involves conducting comprehensive financial analysis and modeling to support business decisions within the organization. The analyst will be responsible for developing and reviewing monthly operating statements, analyzing reports, and providing updates to management. This position requires collaboration with various departments to ensure compliance with financial regulations and effective budget management.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive financial analysis and modeling to support business decisions.
• Develop and review monthly operating statements comparing actual results to budget and forecast.
• Analyze monthly operating and maintenance reports and discuss results with management.
• Provide status reports and updates to management in a timely manner.
• Compile, review, and present monthly forecasting schedules.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, standards, and internal policies (SOX compliance).
• Review economic models to assist data analysis.
• Partner with business partners to review actuals, variance comments, and forecast updates.
• Proactively update month-to-date spend with business.
• Handle recurring reporting and other ad hoc activities as assigned.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with SAP and Excel for creating, compiling, and reviewing monthly forecasting schedules.
• Experience managing operations and maintenance budgets and forecasting for multiple cost centers or business units.
• Direct hands-on experience leading monthly budget review calls with SOX compliance.

Nice-to-haves

• Accounting or Finance background preferred.
• 5+ years of directly related experience.
