About the position

The Senior Financial Analyst at Fortress plays a pivotal role in enhancing the organization's financial planning and analysis capabilities. This position is integral to providing comprehensive financial analysis, forecasting, and modeling that supports critical business decision-making and strategic planning initiatives. The Senior Financial Analyst is expected to embody the core commitments of Fortress, which include relentless execution, maintaining a positive outlook during challenges, upholding the highest quality standards, and fostering collaborative relationships across teams and the broader organization. In this role, the Senior Financial Analyst will maintain and enhance vital financial and operational reporting for private equity investors and key internal leadership stakeholders. Responsibilities include assisting in the preparation of the annual budget, quarterly forecasts, and rolling pro forma reports. The analyst will co-own business partnering relationships with the executive leadership team and assist in developing the recurring private equity board presentation. Additionally, the role involves owning operational and financial data to support accurate, data-driven decision-making during weekly senior leadership meetings. The Senior Financial Analyst will also be responsible for documenting current and new finance, data, and analytics processes, along with other finance, business, data, and reporting responsibilities as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and improve financial and operational reporting for private equity investors and internal leadership stakeholders.
  • Assist with preparation of the annual budget, quarterly forecast, and rolling pro forma.
  • Co-own business partnering relationships with the executive leadership team.
  • Assist in the development of the recurring private equity board presentation.
  • Own operational and financial data to support accurate data-driven decision making in weekly senior leadership meetings.
  • Create documentation of current and new finance, data, and analytics processes.
  • Perform other finance, business, data, and reporting responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in finance, data, and/or business analytics role.
  • Expert proficiency in MS Excel, including advanced lookups, IF statements, Pivot Tables, and modeling.
  • Working knowledge of data visualization platforms (PowerBI preferred, Tableau acceptable).
  • Proven capability to harness structured and unstructured data to drive business outcomes.
  • Quick learner who thrives in a dynamic and ever-changing environment.
  • Willingness to provide input to leadership when appropriate.
  • Experience working with minimal direction and adapting to leadership initiatives.
  • Experience collaborating with individuals of varying seniority up to the executive level.
  • Operates with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Openness to personal and team growth.
