About the position

The Senior Financial Analyst at IKO Industries Ltd. plays a crucial role in financial reporting and operational analysis for assigned plants in North America. This position involves close collaboration with plant management to enhance reporting processes, provide analytical support, and recommend improvements for internal controls and profitability. The role is based in Wilmington, Delaware, and reports to the Finance Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly and quarterly operating statements with supporting analysis for Senior Management and shareholders.
  • Develop and prepare monthly and quarterly KPIs for plant management and Manufacturing Directors.
  • Act as a liaison for the Plant Manager, explaining financial information to managers with non-financial backgrounds.
  • Prepare, analyze, and publish reporting packages for Plant Managers and Manufacturing Directors to aid in strategic decision-making.
  • Correlate monthly operational data with financial data to highlight opportunity costs of production deficiencies.
  • Review reporting to ensure timely compliance with plant processes and coordinate with plant operations staff for remedial actions.
  • Support the annual planning process with Plant Management, ensuring realistic forecasting based on past performance.
  • Perform business modeling during the planning process, including what-if scenarios.
  • Report against the finalized annual plan and explain deviations from it.
  • Ensure the accuracy of reported costs by maintaining accurate Bills of Material (BOM).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business with a Finance concentration; MBA preferred.
  • CPA or CMA Designation preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive financial analytical experience.
  • Strong understanding of cost and management accounting, including budgeting in a large multi-site manufacturing environment.
  • Solid understanding of accounting policies including IFRS and GAAP.
  • Proficient in an advanced ERP environment (preferably JDE) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to meet challenging deadlines and maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively with team members.
