About the position

Warbird Consulting Partners actively seeks qualified candidates for a full-time Senior Financial Analyst role with a healthcare system in the Southeast. As a Senior Analyst, you will gather and analyze information for all entities within the Health System used in the preparation of both internal and external reporting necessary for the Finance & Accounting department and their customers. This position is crucial as you will be responsible for providing leadership with the financial data, information, and analysis necessary to make operational decisions. Your role will involve analyzing both routine and ad hoc data, including prospective (trending, forecasting) and retrospective (performance monitoring) analyses. In this position, you will interact with team members at all organizational levels and across multiple disciplines, ensuring that the financial insights you provide are actionable and relevant. Your responsibilities will include producing proformas, generating special analyses and reports as requested, and managing monthly general ledger close responsibilities. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while also being capable of conducting independent research and preparing data analysis to solve complex problems.

Responsibilities

  • Gather and analyze financial information for all entities within the Health System.
  • Prepare internal and external reporting for the Finance & Accounting department.
  • Provide leadership with financial data and analysis for operational decision-making.
  • Analyze routine and ad hoc data, including trending and forecasting.
  • Monitor performance through retrospective analysis.
  • Produce proformas and special analyses as requested.
  • Manage monthly general ledger close responsibilities.
  • Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • BA degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or Finance.
  • Two years of accounting experience with an information systems background is preferred.
  • Computer literate with general ledger systems and Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and organized.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication.
  • Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to work independently while conducting research and preparing data analysis.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
