About the position

The Senior Financial Analyst at Lighthouse Credit Union plays a crucial role in performing various finance functions, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and profitability analysis. This position requires independent judgment and minimal supervision, contributing to the development and maintenance of financial systems and models while assisting senior leadership in special projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepares financial analysis and reporting for budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning, asset/liability management, and profitability analysis.
• Completes analysis of monthly financial statements and rate/volume variance reports for interest income and expense analysis, liquidity, investments, and ad hoc reporting.
• Maintains and provides data and analytics to support research and development efforts for improving products, services, and operations.
• Interfaces with various divisions to understand data and underlying operational processes.
• Gathers and integrates data and contextual information for rigorous analyses to support projections.
• Prepares financial models, analyses, spreadsheets, charts, and presentations to effectively present data and analytical findings.
• Analyzes general ledger accounts to support financial plan development, profitability, market, and member demographic data.
• Ensures accuracy and timeliness of Credit Union data to vendors and maintains the integrity of the data waterfall and opt-outs.

Requirements

• Five to seven years of related finance experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
• Strong knowledge of financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Skilled in working with datasets.
• Knowledge of GAAP and Credit Union accounting policies and practices.
