Senior Financial Analyst

About the position

The Senior Financial Analyst will play a critical role in supporting the planning, forecasting, analysis and reporting activities for the Marketing organization. This role involves being a strategic business partner for the Marketing leadership team by providing analytical support and consultation on key decisions. The analyst will partner closely with analysts on the Corporate FP&A team to help prioritize objectives and provide inputs for key deliverables. Additionally, the role includes supporting the budgeting and planning process for Qlik Connect, Qlik’s flagship event that brings together customers, partners, and product experts.

Responsibilities

• Be a strategic business partner for the Marketing leadership team by providing analytical support and consultation on key decisions
• Partner closely with analysts on our Corporate FP&A team to help prioritize objectives across the team and provide inputs for key deliverables
• Play a key role in the budgeting & planning process for Qlik Connect
• Support the monthly close process for the Marketing organization
• Consolidate monthly actuals and provide reporting to both the Marketing and Corporate FP&A teams
• Recommend reporting, system, and process improvements to drive automation, efficiency, and accuracy
• Support all presentations, reporting, and analysis for monthly Board of Director meetings
• Support the budget and forecast process by providing required reporting, forecasting, and insights to the long-term financial model
• Work closely with the Marketing leadership team to review and validate the Marketing business outlook for forecasting, budgeting, and multi-year planning
• Utilize Adaptive Insights to drive forecasting, reporting and analysis, identifying and implementing changes to drive automation and efficiency
• Own all documentation and training around Marketing reporting, ensuring all parties responsible for providing input into the reporting and forecasting process are following all guidelines
• Improve all processes through automation and elimination of nonvalue-added activities

Requirements

• Bachelors or Masters Degree in Accounting, Finance or other related business discipline
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in Finance or Finance-related specialties, cross functional projects
• Self-starter and quick learner; comfortable with ambiguity and effective at managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; capable of communicating complex financial information in an easy-to-understand format
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; experience resolving complex business problems with well-structured analytics and modeling
• Ability to organize, summarize, and validate large data sets across multiple systems
• Experience building and maintaining complex financial models
• Knowledge of Adaptive Insights, Salesforce, Zuora, NetSuite, QlikView/QlikSense or similar tools
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), preferably Excel power user
• Can work cross functionally, gathering requirements from different parts of the organization
