About the position

As a Senior Financial Analyst at Capital One, you will play a crucial role in the Financial Services division, focusing on disrupting the Auto finance industry through innovation and a customer-centric approach. Your primary responsibilities will include partnering with business customers to drive strategic business direction, preparing financial reports, and analyzing data to support decision-making. You will be expected to challenge existing processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness while demonstrating a strong customer focus and data-driven mindset.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business customers to drive strategic business direction and sustainable performance.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting and analysis.
• Develop financial models and analyses to support business growth and strategic initiatives.
• Analyze complex financial information and reports to provide accurate recommendations to management.
• Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance.
• Identify areas of opportunity to drive efficiencies in processes and operations.
• Leverage technology and automation to assess alternative options.
• Collaborate with team members and share knowledge to enhance team performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or military experience.
• At least 1 year of experience in financial analysis, financial modeling, data analysis, or business analysis.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative major (Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering) or military experience.
• Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA), Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
• Certified Treasury Professional or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) license or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or CFM.
• 4+ years of experience in financial analysis and financial modeling.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• SQL and Python skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• 3+ years' experience in financial services, banking, or technology industries.
• 3+ years' experience partnering with senior leaders and internal stakeholders.
