About the position

As a Senior Financial Analyst at Liberty Mutual Insurance, you will play a crucial role in independently planning and monitoring the development of financial plans, as well as analyzing and reporting results in a deadline-focused environment. Responsibilities

  • Collaborate and contribute across Technology Finance to drive consistency and gain exposure to multiple sides of Technology.
  • Participate in monthly forecasting report outs to Technology Senior Management.
  • Perform variance analyses (e.g., plan vs actual, prior and forecast, multi-year trends) and identify significant items requiring further investigation, followed by problem resolution suggestions.
  • Oversee financial systems needed for monthly results analysis, coordinating enhancements and assisting in resolving production problems with minimal oversight.
  • Evaluate stakeholder data requirements and identify and correct gaps in current reporting.
  • Identify opportunities for efficiencies and improvements to processes, controls, and technology systems related to functions being performed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of finance experience is required.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously to drive results.
  • Effective communication skills with teammates and others, leading meetings and interacting with higher levels of management to gather information and present results and recommendations.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Word is preferred.
