About the position

As a Senior Financial Analyst at Driven Brands, you will play a crucial role in the financial planning and analysis process. Your primary responsibilities will include long-range expense target setting, annual planning, forecasting, and managing the expense management program to control and analyze corporate expenses. This will involve consolidating data across all support groups to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the financial landscape. You will also be tasked with enhancing control over Shared Service expenses, acting as a business partner to key corporate function leaders such as M&A, Finance, and Legal. Your strategic insights and analytical support will be vital in guiding business decisions and driving performance improvements. In addition to these responsibilities, you will engage in ad-hoc reporting and analysis, contributing to projects such as quarterly earnings preparation and Return on Invested Capital (ROIC) assessments. You will assist with the consolidation of the Driven Brands portfolio, identifying key risks and opportunities, as well as the primary drivers of the business. Your role will also involve developing and maintaining forecasts for in-month updates, providing variance analysis, and supporting the monthly close process to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP reporting requirements. Furthermore, you will assist in coordinating and consolidating the annual and long-range plans, and develop quarterly and monthly departmental reports to keep stakeholders informed of financial performance.

Responsibilities

  • Long-range expense target setting, annual planning, forecasting, and expense management program to control and analyze corporate expenses; includes consolidation across all support groups
  • Help bring expanded control over our Shared Service expenses
  • Act as a business partner to key corporate function leaders such as M&A, Finance, and Legal
  • Provide strategic insight and analytical support to help guide business decisions
  • Ad-hoc reporting, analysis, and projects such as quarterly earnings preparation, ROIC, etc.
  • Assist with consolidation for the Driven Brands portfolio as well as identification of key risks and opportunities and key drivers to the business
  • Develop and maintain forecasts for in-month updates and provide variance analysis
  • Support monthly close process ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP reporting requirements
  • Assist with annual and long-range plan coordination and consolidation
  • Develop quarterly and monthly departmental reports

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or similar field of study
  • 1-3 years of relevant work experience in Finance, corporate strategy, or consulting
  • Understanding of basic financial statements
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Professional and polished in written and spoken form
  • Organized and thorough
  • Keen analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to learn new systems and processes quickly

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience building financial models / business cases
  • Experience with headcount expense analysis
