About the position

The Senior Financial Analyst at Johnson Outdoors plays a crucial role in analyzing financial data, developing insights, and providing recommendations to enhance the financial performance of the business. This position requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in financial modeling, and a deep understanding of metrics to drive business results, all while collaborating with various stakeholders to support strategic decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Provides decision support and benchmarking through financial modeling, business case analysis, and financial reporting.
  • Evaluates financial implications of specific business decisions and advises management to ensure targeted financial performance achievement.
  • Executes financial analysis and planning in partnership with business stakeholders and leaders.
  • Assists in determining the workplan for developing digital eCommerce P&L, aligning on revenue and cost tracking.
  • Analyzes internal and external data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities, developing financial models and KPI dashboards.
  • Assists in the analysis of business opportunities, including potential mergers and acquisitions.
  • Develops, maintains, and provides financial reports for forecasting and budgeting needs, providing in-depth analysis on variances.
  • Identifies and implements continuous improvement of systems, tools, and finance methodologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of financial planning and analysis experience.
  • Strong financial planning, analysis, and forecasting skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with advanced knowledge in financial modeling and reporting.
  • Strong interpersonal, collaborative, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Experience with e-commerce platforms and analytics tools is a plus.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL).
  • Ability to function in a highly matrixed structure across functional and geographic boundaries.
