About the position

The Senior Financial Analyst performs complex professional level financial and accounting duties, leading other staff in various projects and program areas. This role is pivotal in providing consultation and analyses, as well as recommendations regarding complex financial and accounting functions and issues. The analyst is responsible for organizing, preparing, compiling, submitting, and overseeing all funds at the RTC, ensuring that financial operations are conducted efficiently and effectively. In addition to these responsibilities, the Senior Financial Analyst performs grant administrator duties, which include analyzing, investigating, and responding to various issues and concerns that may arise. The role requires extensive research, extraction, and compilation of data for reports and other documents, assisting in the evaluation of reports, decisions, and results of the department in relation to established goals. The analyst is expected to recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to enhance the efficiency of the department and the services provided. The position may involve planning, assigning, and supervising the work of assigned staff, functioning as an assistant to the section manager or as a team leader. Participation in professional development sessions or seminars is encouraged to stay current on trends in the field. The Senior Financial Analyst operates a variety of office equipment, including computers and associated software, and is tasked with conducting and independently completing a variety of special projects as assigned by management. The ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables with short targeted completion dates is essential, as is providing information and assistance to both internal and external customers as required.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a closely related field.
  • Four (4) years of full-time demonstrated professional experience in finance and/or accounting.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Class C Driver's License at the time of appointment.
