About the position

The Senior Financial Analyst role within the GRS Global Expense team at Liberty Mutual focuses on financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting for North America. This position requires strong analytical skills and financial knowledge, with an emphasis on collaboration with segment plan teams to establish strategic financial direction in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Produces highly complex ad hoc and ongoing financial reports that assist the business in making decisions, effectively communicating trends and outcomes to senior management.
• Helps to develop accurate financial plans by effective budgeting, monitoring, and problem solving.
• Produces complex management reports and associated analysis, ensuring accuracy and relevance to the business.
• Interacts with management to explain the budget or financial planning process, identify factors impacting expenses or financial trends, highlight opportunities for improvement, and create effective exhibits to explain business budgets.
• Continually assesses the business value and efficiency of the work performed, identifying and implementing improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting is required.
• Minimum of 3 years of finance experience.
• Demonstrates attention to detail in a fast-paced work environment and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously to drive results.
• Communicates effectively with teammates and others, leading meetings and interacting with increasingly higher levels of management to gather information and effectively present results and recommendations.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Word is preferred.
