About the position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytic Finance/Accounting professional to join our Controlling and Financial Analysis (CFA) team. This role involves overseeing the month-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, and providing analytical support for the Commercial organization. The CFA team plays a crucial role in helping the organization make informed decisions to optimize P&L performance through accurate, timely, and actionable financial information.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage month-end close process through proper PO coding, expense recognition, journal entries, recodes, and compliance to internal controls and processes.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of accounting records and financial data.
  • Participate in monthly and quarterly preparation and analysis of the squad and/or function financial results; support trade-off decisions due to strategy changes in close partnership with Finance and Business teams.
  • Act as the single point of contact for Controlling related questions from assigned Marketing or Functional area; collaborate effectively, sharing views and actively soliciting ideas from others.
  • Stay abreast of and communicate/educate partners on all financial processes impacting the business to ensure adherence and compliance to these processes.
  • Review and implement process improvement initiatives that align with group and departmental goals.
  • Accelerate innovation and implement a true Digital Culture across the Finance network.
  • Think creatively and connect the dots across the organization to enable decision making.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience, preferably within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry (commercial or clinical) and/or Finance within other industries.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance and/or Accounting related degree; CPA preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of accrual accounting concepts and financial statement analysis; experience in leading month-end close & reporting activities.
  • Proven track record of time management, project management, and teamwork.
  • Intermediate-level knowledge of Excel and familiarity using ERP systems (SAP and TM1 preferred), including use of financial reports.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of pharma commercialization strategies and tactics.
  • Data science knowledge (e.g. Python programming, Tableau) a plus.
