About the position

The Senior Financial Analyst at StarPlus Energy LLC plays a crucial role in supporting the financial and accounting processes within the organization. This position is integral to maintaining financial integrity and ensuring accurate reporting, while also contributing to the development of sustainable accounting practices. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and possess strong organizational skills, working closely with the Accounting Director and other team members to achieve the company's financial goals.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and support internal and external auditors
• Support the technical accounting manager
• Prepare and design supporting documentation for manual accounting entries
• Prepare internal financial statements including key metrics and financial results
• Prepare internal reporting packages on a quarterly and yearly basis
• Analyze financial and accounting reports for various stakeholders
• Maintain financial integrity and ensure accurate financial reporting
• Develop and implement accounting processes
• Analyze yearly reports of company finances
• Provide professional accounting guidance to other finance areas
• Act as a backup for other accounting members and provide operational assistance
• Support month-end activities and communicate with related parties
• Perform other duties as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance or similar
• Eligibility to work in the United States
• Good knowledge of SAP and accounting systems
• Working knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS and USGAAP)
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, or holidays as required
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and multi-task
• Demonstrated teamwork and team-building skills
• Proficient in MS Excel, MS Access, or other database applications

Nice-to-haves

• Bilingual English/Korean
• Master of Business Administration
• Experience in internal control and financial reporting
• Understanding of mainframe applications/ITM program
