About the position

The Senior Financial Analyst at Lantheus plays a crucial role in supporting the company's personnel planning process, focusing on headcount and salaries & benefits (S&B). This position involves collaboration with HR and FP&A leads to manage financial analyses, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to grow within the company, contributing to financial insights that drive operational efficiencies.

Responsibilities

  • Proactive partnership and collaboration with the HR organization and FP&A leads by managing headcount related expenses.
  • Assist in the management of the annual Budget, including monthly trend reporting and quarterly financial forecasts.
  • Collect and prepare comprehensive, accurate and timely financial analyses on actuals and KPIs, as well as comparisons against forecasts/Budgets.
  • Strong collaboration with FP&A leads and HR organization to align on future headcount needs and identify the status of new hire requisitions.
  • Compile data from disparate sources to identify and assess performance and underlying trends.
  • Close collaboration with Accounting team on month end close activities that impact Salary & Benefits cost.
  • Assist in preparation of presentation materials with an emphasis on key insights and financial projections.
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis and projects as required.
  • Collaborate with functional leaders to identify changes that drive better financial outcomes.
  • Challenge processes and the status quo to drive improvements.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in Finance or equivalent; MBA and/or CPA certification preferred.
  • 3 - 6 years of experience in a finance/accounting role; budgeting/financial planning experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative, team environment with tight deadlines.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to provide meaningful analysis.
  • Pharmaceutical industry experience/knowledge preferred.
  • Demonstrate strong business acumen.
  • Effective presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of EPM tools such as SAP is a plus.
  • Technical expertise in finance, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Knowledge of financial statement analysis (P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow) and reporting.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of EPM tools such as SAP is a plus.
  • Pharmaceutical industry experience/knowledge preferred.
