About the position

The Senior Financial Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting the North American Supply Chain function by coordinating, preparing, and analyzing financial information. This position focuses on budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, while also providing analytical decision support and facilitating process improvements. The analyst will help the business understand the financial implications of supply chain initiatives and will be responsible for developing complex cash flow models to drive improvements in the supply chain network.

Responsibilities

  • Support the coordination, preparation, and analysis of financial information for the North American Supply Chain function.
  • Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and reporting activities.
  • Provide financial and analytical decision support to the Supply Chain leadership.
  • Facilitate and support process improvement activities within the supply chain.
  • Identify opportunities to automate and streamline supply chain reporting.
  • Prepare various ad hoc analyses to support business decisions.
  • Develop recommendations and solutions based on extensive modeling and analysis.
  • Participate in the preparation and analysis of the Supply Chain 5-year plan and annual budgets, including variance analysis.
  • Maintain Freight & Warehousing standards that drive revenue decisions for Product Management partners.
  • Provide input on significant spend variances for periodic forecasts.
  • Lead the analysis of monthly and year-to-date financial results versus budget and forecast.
  • Investigate significant variances and propose correcting journal entries as needed.
  • Prepare detailed quarterly bridge analysis for cost variances.
  • Lead the preparation, analysis, and distribution of monthly Supply Chain cost report summaries.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business with an emphasis in Accounting or Finance required.
  • Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business with an emphasis in Accounting or Finance preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting or financial analysis, preferably in a business transformation or operational analysis role.
  • Extensive modeling and analytical experience required.
  • Process improvement oriented and cost management focused.
  • Experience working on multiple projects and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of financial management and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Significant experience working with operations or supply chain preferred.
  • CPA or CMA preferred.
  • Demonstrated expert proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access).
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required.
  • Experience/knowledge of SAP or other ERP systems preferred.
  • Strong written, verbal, and listening communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively work and build partnerships with employees at all levels within the organization.
  • Ability to adapt to a continually changing business environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to lead through influence and network.
  • Strong business acumen and organizational skills with attention to detail.
