About the position

We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst for Pilgrim's that reports onsite to the Corporate Office in Greeley, Colorado. This role is pivotal in providing comprehensive financial analysis and insights to support management in decision-making processes. The Senior Financial Analyst will perform research and analysis required by management, including analyzing financial statements, developing financial models, and preparing reports. The successful candidate will provide accurate, timely, and insightful information and analytics to the business, overseeing the maintenance of executive financial presentations, ensuring data integrity of Qlik dashboards, and preparing various sustainability and financial reports. In this position, the analyst will prioritize demand from several departments at the corporate office and plant locations, maintaining alignment and communication with business and finance/accounting leadership. The role requires interpreting data, assessing comparative benchmarks, and identifying potential actions to enhance performance. The Senior Financial Analyst will cultivate strong partnerships with various business units, including finance and accounting, IT, and procurement, through collaborative solution design and effective communication. Additionally, the analyst will engage with external stakeholders, including equity/debt analysts, sustainability ratings agencies, and various vendors. Clear communication with leadership, colleagues, and external stakeholders on issues specific to the business, financial community, and sustainability-related matters is essential. Other duties may be assigned as necessary to support the overall objectives of the company.

Responsibilities

  • Perform research and analysis required by management, including analyzing financial statements, developing financial models, and preparing reports.
  • Provide accurate, timely, and insightful information and analytics to the business; oversee maintenance of executive financial presentations, data integrity of Qlik dashboards, and various sustainability and financial reports.
  • Prioritize demand from several departments at the corporate office and plant locations; maintain alignment and communication with business and finance/accounting leadership.
  • Interpret data, assess comparative benchmarks, and identify potential actions to enhance performance.
  • Cultivate a strong partnership with various business units as finance and accounting, IT, and procurement through collaborative solution design and general communication.
  • Engage with external stakeholders, including equity/debt analysts, sustainability ratings agencies, and various vendors.
  • Clearly communicate with leadership, colleagues, and external stakeholders on issues specific to the business, financial community, and sustainability related matters.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Agribusiness, Business Analysis, Sustainability, or relevant field.
  • Experience in public accounting, Big Four or otherwise, is preferred.
  • Exceptional strategic, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of the US agriculture industry, especially chicken, is a major plus.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint required.
  • Self-driven and can effectively engage others with different viewpoints.
  • Experience in QlikView, QlikSense, and SAP Business Objects is desired.
  • Ability to perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
