The Financial Analyst will play a major role on the DiamondBack Financial Team and will be key in making sure we're financially healthy and strong to fuel our growth. Responsibilities

  • Lead our annual budgeting process; develop and maintain rolling forecasts.
  • Analyze our monthly, quarterly, and annual performance to the budget we've built.
  • Equip our department heads with the data they need to address variances.
  • Identify both the dollar variance and the underlying business reason for it.
  • Build and maintain a deep understanding of our business model, operations, and historical financial performance.
  • Provide forward-looking projections and relevant recommendations.
  • Build and generate ad hoc reports from multiple non-interfacing systems.
  • Identify trends, variances, and key metrics.
  • Perform product profitability analysis and other ad hoc analysis.
  • Work closely with department heads to equip them with relevant financial information.
  • Build and maintain a great relationship with the Accounting Team.
  • Calculate ROI on equipment purchases and track actual performance against ROI estimates.
  • Assist in critical business calculations such as valuation, cash flow projections, and shareholder distributions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field
  • 5 + years of experience in the financial part of a business
  • Understanding of and ability to create detailed financial forecasts
  • Experience in manufacturing is strongly preferred
  • Computer proficiency with strong spreadsheet skills; ERP system familiarity is a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to communicate and collaborate effectively among all levels of the organization
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to make informed decisions
  • Desire to learn and overcome new challenges inherent with a growing company
  • Ability to sit or stand at a computer for long periods of time.
