About the position

A challenging career opportunity exists for someone to join the Corporate Finance team as a Senior Financial Analyst. In this role, you will support the corporate finance team as well as operations, providing a comprehensive understanding of our business and facilitating future career growth. This position offers significant visibility to senior management, as the corporate finance team interacts closely with senior management throughout our global company. It also presents growth opportunities within the corporate finance team or in the operations of the Company, making it an excellent transition from public accounting into a global organization. As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting the Corporate Finance team with the management of the general ledger and oversight of operational ledgers. Your core responsibilities will include executive compensation accounting and reporting, which involves significant participation in the annual Proxy Statement filing process. You will also handle monthly close responsibilities for the corporate general ledger, including the preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, financial statements, and monthly reporting of corporate financing units. Furthermore, you will have quarterly responsibilities for certain aspects of external financial reporting supporting 10-Q/K filings, and you will be involved in accounting for equity transactions and stock-based compensation (ASC 718), including the preparation of quarterly diluted EPS calculations. In addition to these responsibilities, you will manage fixed asset accounting for corporate assets and capital projects, support additional projects and analysis requirements from senior management, and assist in the annual profit planning process and periodic forecasting throughout the year. You will also support CAS government reporting compliance, conduct annual goodwill and intangible asset impairment analysis, and identify, recommend, and implement process improvements. Special projects may include on-site operations and control reviews, where you will work with operational personnel to provide technical accounting guidance. Responsibilities

  • Support the Corporate Finance team with management of the general ledger and oversight/assistance of operational ledgers
  • Executive compensation accounting and reporting including significant involvement in the annual Proxy Statement filing process
  • Monthly close responsibilities for the corporate general ledger including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, financial statements and monthly reporting of corporate financing units
  • Quarterly responsibility for certain aspects of external financial reporting supporting 10-Q/K filings
  • Accounting for equity transactions/stock-based compensation (ASC 718) including preparation of quarterly diluted EPS calculation
  • Responsible for fixed asset management of corporate assets and capital projects
  • Support for additional projects and analysis requirements from senior management
  • Identify and/or assist in researching solutions to accounting issues; assists in implementation of new accounting rules, as required
  • Assist in the annual profit planning process and periodic forecasting throughout the year
  • Support CAS government reporting compliance (allocations and unallowable cost calculations)
  • Support the annual goodwill and intangible asset impairment analysis
  • Identify, recommend and implement process improvements
  • Additional special projects such as on-site operations/control reviews; working with operational personnel providing technical accounting guidance

Requirements

  • Minimum of three to four years of demonstrated success within public accounting firm (Big 4 preferred) or mix of public accounting and private industry - including audit or related financial experience
  • Emphasis in manufacturing as well as SEC experience is preferred but not required
  • A high degree of integrity and ethical behavior is essential
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interface with a worldwide financial team
  • Ability to collaborate within a team environment and involve others as appropriate to accomplish individual and group goals and objectives
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical and problem-solving skills required
  • Strong decision-making skills with the objective of providing a constructive as well as an investigative review role
  • Extremely organized and able to align own work plans and priorities with those of other functions
  • Demonstrate initiative and an ability to complete multiple assignments in a timely manner while working well in a dynamic environment
  • Proactive in eliminating inefficiencies in processes and competing work streams
  • Bachelor's in accounting degree required; Advanced degree and Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation are preferred
