About the position

The Senior Analyst position at CSCI is designed for professionals with a background in auditing, financial management, or financial consulting. The role focuses on supporting Federal General Fund or Working Capital Fund financial statement audits through technical expertise and analytical skills. The ideal candidate will engage in research, analysis, and communication, while also directing the work of Analysts and ensuring effective project management.

Responsibilities

  • Executing the day-to-day research, analysis, and communication at the direction of the team lead.
  • Utilizing data analysis technology to analyze information.
  • Demonstrating excellent writing and communication skills by drafting/updating communication artifacts such as Standard Operating Procedures and whitepapers.
  • Demonstrating strong customer service skills and the ability to work in high-pressure situations with short deadlines.
  • Directing and reviewing the work of Analysts.
  • Communicating the status of project-related tasks to the team lead.

Requirements

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense Secret Clearance (requires U.S. citizenship).
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
  • One of the following professional certifications: CPA, CISA, CIA, CGFM, or CDFM.
  • 3.5 years of progressive, relevant DoD financial statement auditing, audit remediation, or audit readiness experience.
  • Experience in federal/DoD financial statement auditing, audit remediation, or audit readiness.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Capability to work in a team environment, as well as independently.
  • Ability to maintain a positive relationship with customers and other vendors.

Nice-to-haves

  • Associate located in NCR.
  • Experience working with the Federal Government and/or DoD clients.
  • Fund Balance with Treasury (FBWT) reconciliation experience.
  • Experience working with DoD's Advanced Analytics (Advana) platform.
  • Ability to independently research and reconcile variances.
  • Experience researching and applying FASAB, OMB, and Treasury requirements including OMB Circular A-136 and/or the Treasury Financial Manual (TFM).
  • DFAS reporting policy or procedures knowledge.
  • Proficient skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with SharePoint, SQL, ACL, Analytics, Python, Microsoft Access databases.
  • Demonstrated ability to comply with data standards and policies.
  • Possess motivation to learn new technologies and methodologies that demonstrate value.
