About the position

Guidehouse is seeking a Senior Financial Management and Budgeting Consultant to support front office management with financial strategy, plans, and budget functions for a large IT portfolio. The role involves preparing materials for senior leadership presentations, conducting budget analyses, maintaining budget execution trends, and implementing Lean Portfolio Management. The consultant will also identify and implement processes to enhance budget operations and transparency across stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Front Office in preparing materials for presentation to senior leadership and external oversight entities.
  • Conduct cyclical and ad-hoc analyses of budget data using tools such as Excel, Tableau, and PowerBI.
  • Develop, maintain, and report on budget execution trends of current year funding compared against baseline and projections.
  • Maintain and analyze the program's spend plans and execution workbooks, tracking progress against plans.
  • Implement Lean Portfolio Management and Lean Budgeting.
  • Support front office leadership in strategic and tactical budget exercises and taskings.
  • Identify, design, and implement processes that transform the budget function for improved operations and oversight.

Requirements

  • An ACTIVE and CURRENT TOP SECRET/SCI federal security clearance with a Counterintelligence (CI) polygraph.
  • Bachelor Degree.
  • FIVE (5)+ years' of experience in financial management and budgeting.
