About the position

The Senior Financial Operations Coordinator position is a vital role within the EPS Affiliate Accounting team located in Springfield, MO. This position is primarily responsible for supporting the calculation and payment of monthly marketing fees for EPS partners. The role involves a variety of tasks that are essential for the smooth operation of financial processes, including supporting the month-end closing process and the monthly marketing fee payment process. Additionally, the coordinator will assist with daily email communication with partners, account managers, and other internal teams to ensure that all financial operations run efficiently and effectively. In this role, you will be tasked with processing contract terms and other supporting documents for marketing fees using Salesforce, Oracle, and Excel. You will also be responsible for researching and responding to Account Manager inquiries regarding partner marketing fees, identifying any issues with marketing fee calculations, and supporting their resolution. The position requires you to support month-end closing duties and meet departmental expectations and timelines. You may also be assigned other duties as needed, which will contribute to the overall success of the team. To excel in this position, you must be a quick learner, self-motivated, and a phenomenal teammate. A positive attitude and a career-focused mindset are essential. Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle, PeopleSoft, or Hyperion Planning, as well as familiarity with Business Objects and Tableau, is a plus. Strong Excel skills and proficiency in other Microsoft products are also required. A solid understanding of basic accounting principles, along with a desire to pursue more relevant tasks such as contract reconciliation and data analysis, will be beneficial. Good interpersonal skills are necessary, as you will be working across departmental and company boundaries with both internal and external customers. Attention to detail, organization, efficiency, and the ability to multi-task are critical attributes for success in this fast-paced, changing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Process contract terms and other supporting documents for marketing fees in Salesforce, Oracle, and Excel
  • Research and respond to Account Manager questions in email and Salesforce about partner marketing fees
  • Identify issues with marketing fee calculations, and support resolution
  • Support month-end closing duties
  • Meet departmental expectations and timelines, and other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Must be a quick learner and self-motivated
  • Experience with ERP systems (Oracle/PeopleSoft/Hyperion Planning)
  • Strong Excel skills and experience with other Microsoft products
  • Solid understanding of basic accounting
  • Desire to pursue more relevant items such as contract reconciliation and data analysis
  • Good interpersonal skills and comfortable working across departmental and company boundaries
  • Great attention to detail, organized, efficient, and ability to multi-task
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and mathematical skills
  • An associate degree in accounting or similar field preferred
  • 1 to 5 years of previous accounting and reconciliation experience preferred
