About the position

The Senior Financial Planning Analyst will play a critical role in providing analytical and financial decision support to help the company achieve its goals. This position involves partnering with finance managers to analyze financial performance, identify areas for improvement, and support the development of business plans and forecasts.

Responsibilities

  • Provide key support in the development of the annual and 3-year business plan, quarterly forecast process, and monthly management reporting.
  • Support the Balanced Scorecard process and play a key role in identifying, implementing, and maintaining company KPIs.
  • Support the monthly financial close activities to ensure timely and accurate book closures.
  • Assist in business case creation and detailed project reporting on investment opportunities.
  • Provide recurring and ad-hoc business analyses to support reporting, planning, and forecasting.
  • Establish and maintain consistent financial operating policies and procedures.
  • Drive best practices related to FP&A policies and procedures and recommend modifications as needed.
  • Manage and analyze technology spend within the company.
  • Collaborate with FP&A team members to identify efficiency opportunities across divisions and align forecasting assumptions.
  • Work with business area finance managers to build and leverage management reporting to identify trends and drive business decision making.

Requirements

  • BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or equivalent.
  • MBA Finance or MS in Business Analytics or similar degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years in Financial Planning and Analysis or in a Technology role managing project financials of large initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of Technology Infrastructure and Development methodologies.
  • Strong knowledge and experience supporting Cloud Technologies and AWS is a plus.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, including basic Excel formulas, lookups, and pivot tables.
  • Working knowledge of US GAAP.
  • Experience working with financial planning and reporting systems.
