About the position

The Senior Information Security Engineer is responsible for designing and deploying secure solutions for networks, cloud environments, platforms, and applications. This role involves conducting threat assessments to identify and mitigate security risks, collaborating with various teams to foster a strong culture of information security, and ensuring the integrity and security of the organization's information systems.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deploy secure solutions for networks, cloud environments, platforms, and applications.
  • Conduct threat assessments across applications, hosts, and networks to identify, assess, and address security risks, threats, and vulnerabilities.
  • Collaborate with teams across the organization to create action plans for mitigating identified vulnerabilities.
  • Foster a strong culture of information security within the organization.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in three or more security areas, including security operations, cybersecurity engineering, endpoint protection, governance, risk and compliance, or identity management.
  • Strong expertise in designing and managing firewalls (such as Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet), load balancers (f5, HAProxy), and web application firewalls.
  • Extensive experience with cloud network security, including platforms like Azure, OCI, and AWS.
  • Experience in conducting application security audits and implementing automation processes.
  • Skilled in security log monitoring and incident response procedures.
  • Experience in creating detailed network security diagrams and documentation.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Perl, PowerShell, and bash, as well as API scripting.
  • Familiarity with security tools such as vulnerability scanners, nmap, tcpdump, and Wireshark.
  • Experience working with Windows, MacOS, Linux operating systems, virtualization, containers, and cloud environments.
  • Competence in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.

Nice-to-haves

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Over 7 years of hands-on experience with enterprise-level Information Security technologies.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CCNA Security, CISSP, OSCP, or similar credentials are preferred.
